Wound Closure (Suture Items)
Absorbable Suture
- VICRYL RAPIDE™ (polyglactin 910) Suture

- Synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture
 - Composed of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide
 - Use in superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa

- Surgical Gut Suture-Catgut (Plain and Chromic)

- An absorbable, sterile surgical suture
 - Composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen) derived from either the serosal layer of beef (bovine) or the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep (ovine) intestines.
 - Available in plain or chromic
 - Provide greater resistance to absorption
 - Use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures.

Coated VICRYL® Plus Antibacterial (polyglactin 910) Suture

- Use in general soft tissue approximation and/ or ligation
 - Proprietary suture coating and polymer properties minimize drag force and elicit only a slight tissue reaction during absorption
 - Shown in vitro to kill bacteria and inhibit bacterial colonization of the suture
 - Predictable breaking strength retention (BSR) profile to provide support for 14 to 28 days while tissues heal

1. Non-absorbable Suture
PROLENE® Polypropylene Suture with HEMO-SEAL™ Technology

Experience the latest breakthrough in wound closure technology
- Unique HEMO-SEAL technology tapers down the PROLENE Suture at the needle attachment site, allowing a thinner needle to be attached, resulting in a reduced needle-to-suture diameter ratio
 - Enhanced ratio enables the suture to more completely fill the hole, leading to a significantly reduced leak rate, as shown in a cardiopulmonary bypass model.

2. PROLENE® Polypropylene Suture
- Composed of an isotactic crystalline steroisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin. The suture is pigment blue to enhance visibility.
 - Use in general soft tissue approximating and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic procedures, and neurological procedures.
 - No tissue reaction
 - Tensile strength upto 2 Years
 - Resists infection

3.MERSILENE® Polyester Fiber Suture
- Composed of Poly (ethylene terephthalate)
 - Use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological procedures
